Yes, homes are still open to visitors, but some of the routines have changed. Of course, visitors are asked to wear masks and stay “socially distant” from other visitors in a home. Many open houses will also require that you wear shoe covers that are provided and to possibly use sanitizer before touring the home. In addition, some open houses are simply held “virtually” and then in-person visits are only scheduled by appointment. It’s good to have a buyer’s agent to help you navigate through the process.
While the experience of open house visits may be different now, please know that the agent community is receiving regular and on-going training to learn best practices and keep all visitors and homeowners as safe as possible. If you would like to visit a home and are unsure of how the home can be accessed in-person, please feel free to contact us for more information about any home listed on the market. Also, you can check here anytime for the current open houses listed by ALL real estate companies in the area.
The Maury Home Team is happy to help you navigate through this new experience and find your new “place in the world.” Please feel free to contact us for a no-obligation consultation. Happy househunting!
